Lets talk about some common mistakes all women make when it comes to losing weight.

Are you guilty of any of these?

1. Cardio cardio cardio…

I see so many women out there busting their ass on the cross trainer, for hours on end thinking ‘this is what I have to do to get a thigh gap’!


Totally wrong, get your ass off the cardio equipment and stop pounding the pavement for hours! If you want  to change your body shape, lose weight and turn your body into a fat burning machine…

Lift weights! It’s that simple!

You can stay in shape with as little as 20 minutes a day, when your lifting weights.

I don’t want to spend hours in the gym … do you? 

2. Not eating breakfast…

I put my hand up high for this one. Well, not anymore but I never used to eat breakfast and to be honest I wasn’t in the best shape either!

I know you are guilty of this as well. Rushing around in the morning, getting everyone else ready and fed only to walk out the door with a coffee in hand thinking ‘this will do’.

If you are looking to lose weight or excess fat,  plan old be smokin’ hot – breakfast (I know cliche) is the most important meal you can have. And I’m not talking slamming down a bowel of cereal or a banana before you leave the house. That shit will have your love handles growing!

I’m talking a real meal.

If there is one change that will get you the results you are after, its eating meat, nuts and berries for breakfast!

Jump on board and try it, you will see instant results!

3. Not changing your diet, trying to exercise it away…

Guess what? You don’t get fat by not going to the gym. I know shock horror right!

It’s in fact, what you put into your mouth that makes you gain or lose weight. So if your making the mistake of exercising and not changing your diet.


Yes, exercise will help you lose weight, change your body shape and make you feel amazing, but if you’re not eating a healthy diet (by healthy I mean minimally processed foods… eating meat, veg, fruits, nuts etc.) you are wasting your time and money!

Change your diet and you will see results in much less time and you will see results for life!

4. Starve yourself thin…

So many women do this one!

You think if only I can hold out another hour or 2 and you can save yourself on those extra calories. Put them in the bank for later on, so to speak.

This does not burn fat, it has the complete opposite effect… It makes you hold onto fat just incase you don’t eat again for sometime. But you end up caving and having something sweet.

Double whammy of badness!

So basically, it doesn’t work. Make sure you are eating regular meals throughout the day and keep your blood sugar levels stable, by eating a healthy diet 80% of the time.

5. Restrict calories

I’m going to keep it short and simple, if you restrict calories now you have to do it for the rest of your life.  If you want to keep it off that is. As soon as you go back to your ‘normal’ diet you will put on weight back on again. And probably more!

Calories are not a good indication of the best food to consume, as you could have 200 calories in a steak and 200 calories in a coke… Now I know you know which one is actually better for you!

If you eat natural foods you will balance out your weight and never have to diet again!

Life would be so much easier.

Lastly don’t do what you did last time… Cos guess what?  It didn’t work if you need to do it again… Make a lifestyle change so you never have to think about your weight ever again.
