Serves: 8

Ingredients:

  • 1kg Turkey thigh – I get my butcher to mince it fresh!
  • 1 1/2 cup almond meal
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Onion
  • 3 tsp Garlic
  • Salt and Pepper

Toppings

  • Caramelised onions
  • grated carrot
  • grated or roasted beetroot
  • lettuce
  • Mayo

Method:

  1. In a large mixing bowl add turkey mince, eggs, diced onion, garlic, salt and pepper.
  2. Mix through with hands.
  3. Add almond meal 1/2 cup at a time.
  4. Roll mixture into balls.
  5. Heat pan cook both sides for roughly 5-7 minutes.
  6. You can also finish them off in the oven if not cooked through. This way they wont burn!
  7. Add toppings of your choice!
